The colony was relocated in 1969 when a community of disabled persons took over the buildings for craft production. Lake Bunyonyi is the deepest lake in Uganda. Enjoy the superb comfort and service of Bushara Island Camp.
Enjoy swimming, canoeing, sunbathing, hilly walks or mountain-bike riding and cray fishing.
Sit back and enjoy a leisurely drive back to Kampala, with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch.
